Deposit and Sales Contract

RESERVING A PUPPY - DEPOSIT

Once a buyer has decided to purchase a puppy, a deposit of $500 is required to hold the selected puppy.  This deposit is non-refundable.

PAYMENT

When the puppy is 8 weeks of age, the balance of the payment for the price of the puppy is due upon pickup. We don't ship our puppies, but if you don't live close to us, we offer personal delivery to you. Just contact us for pricing! If you decide to pick your puppy up and fly him or her home, the puppy must fly in the cabin with you and not in the cargo hold.

DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY

Puppy deposits are non-refundable. If the buyer is unable to move forward with the purchase of a puppy from an existing litter, Agape Ridge English Golden Retrievers will be released from the obligation to hold this puppy for you, and may sell this puppy to another customer. If a buyer backs out on purchasing a puppy after the puppy is born, the deposit is non-transferrable to a future litter. If you are making a puppy deposit for a puppy from an anticipated litter, and the anticipated puppy becomes unavailable, Agape Ridge English Golden Retrievers will refund your entire deposit or offer the option of replacing this puppy with another puppy from a current or future litter. By placing a deposit, the buyer agrees to the terms of this contract.

ONE YEAR HEALTH GUARANTEE

We guarantee this puppy, to the best of our knowledge, to be healthy. The puppy has had a complete physical exam by our vet, received the first puppy vaccination, and has been dewormed. The buyer will be responsible for obtaining, within 3 days of acquiring the puppy, an evaluation by a veterinarian. If the puppy was not examined within the first 3 days of ownership, the health guarantee becomes void. Should the puppy be diagnosed with a congenital medical disorder that will cause certain premature death, the seller will, upon provision of veterinary reports, provide the buyer with the option of returning the puppy and replacing the puppy with one of equal value. The buyer holds harmless the seller for any vet bill or other puppy-related expenses. Coccidia, Giardia, UTI, fleas, parasites, worms and other treatable illness are not applicable to the one year health guarantee. Agape Ridge English Golden Retrievers is not liable for long term medical care, treatment, or extraordinary measures if these are elected by the buyer. The seller is not responsible for behavior problems, improper training, personal injury, or property damage caused by the puppy. The buyer will hold harmless the seller from any sickness, death, or loss of the puppy when it leaves the premises. The buyer agrees that, if for any reason they are unable to keep the puppy, they will return the puppy to the seller at no charge. Agape Ridge English Golden Retrievers will not reimburse the buyer for the purchase price if the buyer is unable to keep the puppy. The buyer may agree to have the puppy placed in a new home if approved by the seller. Under no circumstances is the puppy to be transferred to another owner without the consent of the seller.  
The purchaser agrees that they will love, care for, and otherwise be responsible for this Golden Retriever Puppy that is being transferred to their care.

LIMITED REGISTRATION

‍This puppy is sold with the understanding that he/she will be purely a pet and will not participate in any kind of breeding. Within 18 months of birth, the buyer agrees to have his pet spayed or neutered. The buyer also agrees that this puppy will be a family pet and will not be used for breeding. Full registration is available to approved buyers for an additional cost.
